Van Mahotsava Celebration
‘Trees are the kindest things we grow’.
Van Mahotsava, the festival of trees, was celebrated in Sant Nirankari Public School, Tilak Nagar on 16th July, 2019. The celebration was an ideal opportunity to instill the value of social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding trees and other natural resources.
Students of class I to V brought flowering plant saplings like Rose, Sunflower, Marigold, etc. and students of class VI to X brought tree saplings like Neem, Aloe Vera, Lemon, Mango, etc. An outdoor plantation activity along with a short marching rally was organized in the surrounding areas creating awareness about ‘Save Trees, Save Environment’ and ‘Go Green, Go Clean’.
Students from class VI to IX planted flowering saplings and tree saplings in the school garden area and the outreach areas. The students and the general public were encouraged to plant more and more trees to protect our Earth from the environmental challenges.
